Hello, I'm Richard McWilliams, and my mission is to ‘save the planet’ for my three sons. My portfolio career has been a journey to help make that happen - across engineering, digital transformation, service innovation, management consultancy and programme delivery.

Since securing my first decarbonisation programme for the Mayor of London, over ten years ago, I have led and delivered many similar ‘market accelerator’ programmes across housing, non-domestic buildings and energy systems - helping organisations to deliver ambitious schemes enabled by grants ranging from £200m to £multi-Bn.

My recent work for UK Department of Energy Security and Net Zero and Salix Finance to deploy, support and assure over £1.4Bn of grant under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund and Homes Upgrades Grant is a career highlight. I am also especially proud to have supported Innovate UK award £200m+ to products and service innovators to help them succeed.

“Tennex” the name comes from my most recent experience, growing a sustainability consultancy business from 1 to 10 in the first year (10x growth) and then 10 to well over 100 in the four years that followed (10x again).

My aim is to use this experience to help you to succeed on your own journey.
